Taxi driver charged with Milton Keynes woodland rape

A taxi driver has appeared in court charged with the rape of a woman in a wooded area of Milton Keynes.

The 32-year-old woman was attacked in Linford Woods between 04:00 GMT and 04:15 GMT on 10 March.

Omar Ahmed, 29, of Western Road, Wolverton, was granted bail by Milton Keynes magistrates.

Several conditions were made, including that he lives at an address in Halifax. Mr Ahmed, who denies rape, is to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 23 March.

Other conditions of his bail are that he does not visit Milton Keynes except to go to court, the police station or to see his solicitor, he does not work as a taxi driver and does not contact his alleged victim.
