Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 25-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run crash in Buckinghamshire.

The victim was hit by a car in Cockpit Road, Great Kingshill, High Wycombe, at 22:45 GMT on Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men, aged 22, 24 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton said: "We are still trying to piece together the circumstances around the man's death."

The officer added: "We are keen to trace the vehicle involved in the collision, a light or silver-coloured saloon car, which was travelling from the direction of Little Kingshill and after the collision left in the direction of Cockpit Road, turning left in Cryers Hill Road.

"It is believed that the vehicle sustained front end nearside damage, and I would urge anyone who has any information regarding this incident to get in touch as a matter of urgency."
