High Wycombe hit-and-run: Plea to drivers

Drivers who were in the area of a fatal hit-and-run in Buckinghamshire have been asked to come forward.

Ryan Adamson, 25, of Nantwich, Cheshire, was hit by a silver saloon car in Cockpit Road, Great Kingshill, High Wycombe, at 22:45 GMT on Thursday.

Police said there had been an "altercation" at a house in Cockpit Road. Mr Adamson was lying in the road when he was hit.

Officers said they were using CCTV to identify vehicles.

Sgt Peter Jell said: "We would ask anyone who drove through Cockpit Road or the Missenden Road at Great Kingshill after 10:30 on Thursday to contact us."

The car which hit Mr Adamson travelled from the direction of Little Kingshill and left in the direction of Cockpit Road, turning left in Cryers Hill Road.

Officers believe that it sustained front end nearside damage.

Three men, aged 22, 24 and 38, were arrested following Mr Adamson's death. They have been released on bail until 23 April.
