Man from Leighton Buzzard charged with drugs offence

A 50-year-old man from Bedfordshire has been charged with possession of 15 kilos of cocaine estimated to be worth £3m.

Kevin Baggott, of Baker Street, Leighton Buzzard, was arrested on 23 May in Winslow, Buckinghamshire.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Stevenage Magistrates' Court on 6 June.

He faces three further charges of supplying drugs, possession of a CS canister and money laundering.

A 37-year-old man from Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire and a 48-year-old man from Mitcham, south-west London, were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Both have been bailed until 1 August to allow further police inquiries.
