Man arrested after seven-vehicle crash on M1 in Buckinghamshire
A 43-year-old lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a seven-vehicle crash on the M1 in Buckinghamshire.
One motorist, a 55-year-old man from Bedfordshire, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital and remains in a critical condition, police said.
Six women were treated at hospital for minor injuries following the crash, shortly after 08:30 GMT.
The northbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 14 has been reopened.
Thames Valley Police said the arrested man, who was driving a Volvo lorry, remained in custody.
The crash happened near the northbound exit slip road at junction 14. The section of road was closed for over four hours.
