A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after shots were fired at a car in Luton by a man on a motorbike.

Two shots hit the BMW in Culverhouse Road on 5 May but the driver was uninjured.

Bedfordshire Police said a Luton man was being questioned in connection with the incident.

On Monday a man, 22, appeared before the town's magistrates on charges of attempted murder and possessing a gun.

There have been a total of 10 incidents involving gunshots in Luton this year.
