A 44-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Hertfordshire.

Matthew Keough, of no fixed address, was arrested at Bishop's Stortford train station after police were called to a property in Bartholomew Road on Wednesday night.

Sally Campion, 45, was found with serious injuries and later died in hospital.

Mr Keough was remanded in custody and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on 7 July.

The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) due to the victim's prior contact with Hertfordshire Police.
