Bedford A6 death as Porsche drives off after Audi collision

The driver of a Porsche is being sought after the car was involved in a fatal collision near Bedford on Saturday.

A 33-year-old man from Luton, who was driving an Audi R8, died after the crash on the A6 at Wixams at about 17:50 BST.

Police said the driver of a black Porsche 911 did not stop and carried on driving north towards Bedford.

The identity of the dead man will not be confirmed until the coroner has opened an inquest, police stated.

The southbound carriageway of the A6 was closed for several hours as specialist accident investigators completed their work.
