Hertfordshire floods shut school and trap cars

A school has been forced to close and cars have been submerged after heavy rain hit Hertfordshire.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Ware has been shut because of flooding, and fire crews have helped people stuck in vehicles in Stevenage and Wadesmill.

A number of roads in the county remain flooded after the downpours which started on Monday.

Hertfordshire Police has urged drivers to take care and not drive through any floodwater.
