Two men have admitted killing a shopkeeper who fell from a moving van in Hertfordshire.

Patrick O'Driscoll, 34, of Purkiss Road, Hertford, and James O' Driscoll, 45, of Hamlet Hill, Roydon, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Arulchelvam Prasanna, 34, in Watford's Costco store car park in May last year.

Both had earlier pleaded not guilty to murder.

They will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court later.

Mr Prasanna was found with head injuries in the Hartspring Lane store car park on 26 May and died 11 days later at St Mary's Hospital in London.

The father of one, who suffered a fractured skull and other injuries, was found by passers-by.

The two defendants also pleaded guilty to two charges of conspiracy to steal.

A third man arrested in connection with the case is being sought by police after failing to answer bail.
