Men charged over scaffold pole attack in Buckinghamshire

A man has been seriously hurt after apparently being hit on the head with a scaffolding pole at a building site.

The 42-year-old suffered serious head injuries on Sunday morning near Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire.

A man, aged 23, has been charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent. Another man, 48, was charged with wounding with intent.

The men, both from Luton, will appear before magistrates later.

Thames Valley Police said the victim had been airlifted to hospital in Oxford where he was being treated.
