A convicted armed robber who went missing from an open jail in Buckinghamshire has been found and is back in custody.

Thames Valley Police issued an alert on Monday after Patrick Hatter, 34, disappeared from HMP Springhill in Grendon Underwood near Aylesbury.

It was believed he walked out of the prison some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Officers said Hatter was located on Tuesday and was in police custody.
