Boy, 10, charged with stealing bike in Slough

A 10-year-old boy has been charged with stealing another boy's bike in Slough.

The child, who cannot be named, is alleged to have verbally threatened another boy before making off with his bike in Prestwood, Wexham, on 12 June.

The 10-year-old was charged with robbery and released on bail to appear at Maidenhead Youth Court on 26 August.

The age of criminal responsibility in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is 10. In Scotland there are plans to raise the age from eight to 12.
