Man denies trying to murder detective in Bracknell

A man has denied trying to kill a detective during an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Berkshire.

Det Con Luke Simms was stabbed at the Coral betting shop in Liscombe, Bracknell, on 19 May.

He was admitted to intensive care at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey before being released.

Kes Nattriss, 28, of no fixed address, denies robbery and attempted murder. He was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on 29 November.
