Shooting feared after street row in Slough

A man is feared to have been shot during an argument in Berkshire.

A member of the public rang police on Saturday morning to report hearing a loud bang at about 0300 BST in Montern Lane, Slough.

The witness reported seeing two people in a dark hatchback arguing with an Asian man standing beside the car.

A possible gunshot was heard and the man was seen to clutch his stomach before walking off. Police appealed for that person to come forward.

Det Sgt Dominic Found said: "This is the only information we have and we have carried out extensive inquiries to ascertain if a crime took place and if a man is injured.

"Officers attending the scene have found traces of blood but it is still unclear if a shot was fired or if the man was attacked.

"We are asking for the public's help and urging the man and the people in the hatchback car to contact us so we can establish what happened and ensure the man is safe and well."
