Parents' campaign to save private school in Reading

Parents are mounting a campaign to save an independent school in Berkshire.

The Highlands School in Reading wrote to parents last week to tell them it would be closing in July because of financial problems.

Some families are offering to pay higher fees to help save the school, which has been running at a loss "for an extended period of time".

The school said it had implemented a recovery plan but it had been unsuccessful.

Pupils at the school are aged between two and 11 years old.
