A mother who died in hospital after being injured along with her son when a car crashed into a bus stop in Berkshire has been named.

Catriona Scott, 44, from Caversham, was waiting in Briants Avenue, Caversham, Reading, when the Toyota Rav 4 struck the shelter on Monday.

She was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday. Her son is "recovering well" in a specialist unit, police said.

Police said the driver had passed a breath test and was not arrested.

Officers have continued to appeal for witnesses.
