Bracknell schools warned after girl sex attacks

Extra police patrols have been put in place in a Berkshire town after two teenage girls were sexually assaulted as they walked home from school.

A 13-year-old and 16-year-old were both approached by a man on Wednesday afternoon in Bracknell and police believe the assaults may be linked.

More officers have been put in place around Brakenhale School and Garth Hill College.

All local schools have been told and pupils have been asked to take care.

Ch Insp Simon Bowden said: "The circumstances of these incidents are extremely similar and we believe they may be linked.

"The man in the first incident was seen standing outside Brakenhale School at around 1530 GMT and it is possible that he committed both offences.

"Although the two girls were not injured, they were upset by the incidents."
