Man in Berkshire zebra crossing crash dies in hospital

An elderly man has died in hospital nine days after being hit by a car on a zebra crossing in Berkshire.

The 82-year-old victim was struck by a Mazda at the crossing in Old Bath Road, Charvil, close to the junction with Park View Road South on 10 March.

The man was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with serious injuries but died on Saturday.

The driver of the car, aged 90, was uninjured. Police are investigating the incident and appealed for witnesses.
