Reading motorists warned of bridge works over Cow Lane

Thousands of motorists are being warned they face up to three weeks of disruption as part of road works to improve the rail network.

Work will start on widening a bridge over Cow Lane, Reading, in May to allow for more train lines to be built.

As part of the project the road, which is the main route from Caversham to Pangbourne and Tilehurst, will be made into a two-lane carriageway.

Network Rail said it would minimise disruption.
