Tribute to Charvil crossing crash victim Tony Barham

An elderly man who died after being hit by a car on a zebra crossing in Berkshire has been named by police.

Tony Barham, 82, died in hospital on Saturday, nine days after the collision in Old Bath Road, Charvil, on 10 March.

He was struck by a Mazda as he crossed the road close to the junction with Park View Road. The 90-year-old driver was not injured.

The family of Mr Barham, a retired lawyer, said he had had many friends in the area and would be "sadly missed".
