Thieves steal 277 sheep from Berkshire field

Thieves have stolen 277 sheep from a field in Berkshire.

The animals, which were all tagged, were taken from land in Clapton, Kintbury, near Hungerford, on Wednesday or Thursday.

Thames Valley Police said the thieves cut through a fence to gain access to the property.

Officers said the people responsible would have spent some time getting the sheep onto a lorry and they are appealing for information.
