Nature and Outdoors

See lambs being born at Amners Farm, Burghfield and support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. As well as lambs there will be chicks to hold and piglets to see. Sheep shearing demonstrations will be held throughout the day as well as pony rides, steam train rides and an informative guided tractor and trailer ride around the farm.

The days will be held on Saturday 23, Sunday 24 and Monday 25 April from 1100 BST - 1800 BST. Entrance is £6 for adults and £4 for children.

Children can take part in a Barracudas Activity Camp at the Holt School in Wokingham until Tuesday 26 April. The day camp runs from 0800 BST to 1800 BST and gives children aged four to 16 the chance to take part in a wide variety of activities including sports, arts and crafts and science.

Try out a fun-filled Easter Hunt for Wally on Monday 23 April at Legoland Windsor in Winkfield Road, Windsor.

Children visiting Basildon Park can follow the a trail map around the 18th-century gardens, with clues leading to a chocolatey 'Egghead' from now until Monday 25 April (except Tuesdays) from 1000 to 1700 BST. Tickets are £2 per child plus normal admission. Inside the house, explore the rooms for Basildon Bunnies.

Arts and Culture

Enjoy the tale of a little boy who helps a penguin return to the South Pole at the Newbury Corn Exchange. Lost and Found will be performed by Travelling Light and Polka Theatre on Saturday 23 April at the Corn Exchange Auditorium. It is suitable for children aged 3+ and costs £8. Performances take place at 1330 BST and 1600 BST, and last 45 minutes.

Enjoy a family fun day at the Watermill Theatre in Bagnor, Newbury for a fun-filled morning of activities including drama games, mask painting and dressing up. Suitable for age four upwards. Light snacks will be on sale.

Sessions will take place on Tuesday 19 April at 1000 BST to 1130 BST or 1130 BST to 1300 BST. Tickets: £4 for children, adults are free. Tickets must be pre-booked. For more information go to the Watermill Theatre

Follow Mole's travels as he meets a variety of outlandish and amusing characters along the way at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Altwood Road, Maidenhead. This adaptation of a popular children's picture-book is suitable for ages 4+ years. Performances will take place at 1100 BST and 1500 BST on Wednesday 20 April and cost £6.50.

Nature and outdoors

Enjoy a riverboat cruise at Cliveden in Taplow, Berkshire. The boats run on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1110 BST until 1630BST between 9 April - 1 July and then up to seven days a week until early September. Lambourn Racehorse Trainers will open their yards to the public from 830 BST until 1300 BST Friday 22 April, while in the afternoon there will be top jockeys schooling over hurdles and show jumping with lots of other entertainment.

The car park will open from 0730 BST. Most yards open at 0830 BST and all close at 1300 BST. Afternoon family entertainment starts at 1300 BST.

Something different

Enjoy Seance, a night of occult and paranormal entertainment at the Manor Hotel in Datchet. The hotel is over 400 years old, and features a plague pit within a few feet of it, an old graveyard and haunted pub.

On Saturday 23 April Freddie Valentine will take a group of brave souls into a haunted room and take them on a journey into the paranormal culminating in a full seance. The evening includes: pendulum dowsing, thought reading, ESP testing, glass moving/ouija session and bizarre relics.
