Tributes have been paid to a 53-year-old motorcyclist who died when he hit a deer and careered off a Berkshire road.

Mechanic Tom Tilley was riding a Kawasaki bike when he struck the animal in Church Lane, Binfield, on 3 July.

Paramedics attended the crash but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He had just celebrated his silver wedding anniversary, and his wife Kim said: "His passing has left a huge hole in many people's lives."

Born in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, Mr Tilley worked in the motor trade all his life.

Mrs Tilley added: "Tom was so much more than my husband - he was my best friend and the love of my life.

"My life will never be the same without him."

Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision.
