Slough crash: Man dies in A412 roadside hit-and-run

A man has been killed in a hit-and-run collision near Slough in Berkshire.

Officers said the man's green Proton car was parked on a verge of the A412 George Green early on Monday when it was hit by a white Renault van.

Police were called at about 01:00 BST and said the victim, who is believed to be a 27-year-old Asian man from Slough, died at the scene.

Insp Colin Clark said the van failed to stop and that police were trying to trace the driver and any passengers.

The crash happened near Black Park on the side of the road from Uxbridge in the direction of Slough.

Mr Clark added that Thames Valley Police wanted to speak to the the driver of a silver Mercedes who flagged down officers to alert them to a broken down car on the A412.
