Thousands of people gathered in Reading on Saturday to mark the town's annual Pride festival.

The free event, hosted by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, was held at Kings Meadow Park into the evening.

Revellers began the day with a march through the town centre, starting at the Civic Centre at 11:30 BST.

Performers at the festival, which began in 2003, included drag acts, boy bands and the Reading Gay Chorus.
