From music and fun to arts and events: some suggestions of things to do in Berkshire over the next few months.
Halloween and Guy Fawkes celebrations at Basildon Park will run from 24 to 31 October (excluding Tuesday). Ghoulish activities for children of all ages, including creepy crafts workshop, spooky storytelling sessions and garden pumpkin trail to where the Wicked Witch of the West has hidden her stash of sweets. Children in fancy dress are welcomed free of charge.
A "spectacular" fireworks display is promised as well as a barbecue and fun fair at Newbury Racecourse on 5 November.
Bradfield Primary School, Bradfield Southend, holds its fireworks display on 3 November.
Reading Abbey Rugby Club hosts its fireworks party at the club's Rosehill ground on 5 November.
Slough's council-run bonfire and fireworks display is at Upton Court Park on 5 November.
Arts and Culture
Kenneth Grahame's classic Wind in the Willows is being staged at Watermill Theatre in Newbury from 24 November.
The York Nativity Play will be performed at the 11th Century Church of St Mary the Virgin in Aldermaston from 5 until 11 December.
Jools Holland And His Rhythm And Blues Orchestra will be performing at Reading's Hexagon Theatre on 4 November.
