KFC sorry over cannabis toddler

KFC has apologised to the mother of a toddler after she found cannabis in her child's mouth on one of its premises.

Stacy Rush complained when she discovered her daughter with the drug at the fast food chain's Newbury restaurant in October.

A spokesperson said: "We believe it was a very small amount of cannabis mixed with tobacco."

He added that Ms Rush had since been offered an apology for how staff treated her complaint at the time.

Police inspected the outlet following the incident.

"They visited the store at our request, and told us that they were happy with our cleaning routine of half hourly checks," the spokesman said.
