Triple 'screwdriver' stabbing in Newbury town centre

Three men have been stabbed with what police believe was a screwdriver after an argument in a Berkshire town centre.

Officers were called to Wharf Street in Newbury just before 03:00 GMT on Saturday.

Two Polish men were taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, with stab wounds to the stomach and arms but were later released.

A third Polish man in his mid to late 20s was found later with a stab injury but did not need hospital treatment.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
