Plans for 900 Berkshire homes go on display

Residents have been given the opportunity to see the plans for hundreds of new houses to be built near Reading in Berkshire.

The development will consist of more than 900 new homes around the villages of Three Mile Cross and Spencers Wood.

Ian Tant, from the consortium behind the scheme, said despite the plans the villages would keep their identities.

"The proposals provide for continued separation between the villages with green space," he added.

The planning consultants Barton Willmore will consider the comments received as a result of the exhibition before preparing the planning application for submission in the new year.

Plans will be on display at Spencers Wood village hall until 14:45 GMT on 3 December. They are also available on the consultation website.
