Oxfordshire safe driving warning after road deaths

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has urged careful driving over the festive period after three deaths on the county's roads in December 2010.

The service said 169 people were also injured on the roads in the same month, "one of the busiest times of the year".

It is advising motorists to make sure their car is ready for travel during winter weather.

A spokeswoman said: "Allow extra time for your journey, drive for the conditions and don't speed."

She added: "Take regular breaks and if possible share the driving on long journeys."
