Windsor 'arson' victim taken to hospital
A man had to be taken to hospital after a suspected arson attack at his home in Berkshire.
Police said an accelerant of some form was pushed through his letterbox before it was set alight just before 01:00 GMT.
The 49-year-old man was woken and called the emergency services to his home in Clewer Hill Road in Windsor.
The fire was put out shortly afterwards and the man was taken to hospital as a precaution. He was later released.
Det Con Iain Watkinson said: "We are keeping an open mind as to the motive and are appealing for people who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area before the fire, or leaving the scene after the fire was started, to come forward.
"Thankfully the occupant was unharmed and was taken to hospital solely as a precaution."
