Pair robbed at gunpoint in Reading

A man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint in Reading during the early hours of Sunday.

Thames Valley Police said the victims, both in their 20s, were walking in Katesgrove Lane in the town when they were approached.

A man holding what was believed to be a handgun demanded the pair hand over their valuables. Both had their wallets and mobile phones taken.

Officers believe there were two men involved in the robbery.

Police said the man with the gun was described as white, aged in his 20s to 30s, 5ft 8in tall and of medium build.

He was wearing dark coloured baggy sweatpants.

Neither of the victims were assaulted.
