Newbury woman faces 'fake lawyer' charge

A woman from Berkshire has been charged with impersonating a solicitor and fraudulently taking more than £18,000.

The 47-year-old, from Newbury, is accused of obtaining money to take on legal appeals and civil debt collecting.

She is charged with four counts of fraud by false representation, between 1 April 2010 and 3 December 2010.

The woman has been released on bail to appear before Reading Magistrates' Court on 17 February.
