Dozens arrested after Berkshire drugs raid

Police have arrested 24 people in a series of drug raids in Berkshire.

Officers searched 23 properties between 07:00 GMT and 12:00 GMT and seized class A drugs and stolen property.

Thames Valley Police said the raids on homes in Thatcham, Southend and Abingdon were part of an operation to arrest suspected drug dealers.

Supt Robin Rickard said the force was targeting drug dealing because it was "deeply damaging to the community".
