Thames Valley police officer suffers leg injuries in Slough

A police officer has been taken to hospital with leg injuries after being crushed between two cars while trying to stop a burglary in Berkshire.

The 31-year-old officer was injured just after 21:00 BST on Tuesday in Buckingham Avenue, Slough.

Police said the driver of an Audi Estate drove at the patrol car as the officer was getting out, trapping his leg between the two vehicles.

The officer received treatment for severe bruising to his leg.

The offenders drove away in a light grey or silver car along Molton Avenue towards Liverpool Road.

Police are asking anyone who saw the Audi estate and a jeep which they believe was also seen nearby to come forward.
