Kenyans dominate Reading Half Marathon 2013

Thousands of runners took to the streets of Reading to take part in the town's half marathon, with Kenyan athletes winning both elite races.

Andrew Lesuuda won the male elite race in an unofficial time of one hour, four minutes and 15 seconds - almost a minute ahead of his nearest rival.

Compatriot Emily Biwott took the female title in an unofficial time of 1:12:14.

Phil Hogg won the wheelchair race ahead of fellow Briton Jade Jones in an unofficial time of 59:15.

Up to 18,000 runners started the race at Green Park and finished at the Madejski Stadium.

Motorists had been warned to expect disruption with a number of road closures ahead of the 31st Reading Half Marathon.
