Slough attack suspect charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was found with neck injuries at a house in Slough.

The 35-year-old was detained after a woman, 51, was assaulted at a property in St Pauls Avenue on Saturday evening, Thames Valley Police said.

She remains in a stable condition at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

The man, of no fixed address, was arrested shortly after the woman was injured and later charged with one count of attempted murder.

He is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court.
