Arrests after teenage boy stabbed during Burghfield Common disturbance

A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed during a disturbance in Burghfield Common in Berkshire.

The boy was found at Saxby Close just after midnight on Sunday and taken to the hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

A 21-year-old man, from Burghfield Common, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.

A 20-year-old man, from Theale, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed.

Police had said they were called following reports of trouble involving a small crowd of teenagers.
