Man arrested in Slough over financing terrorist acts
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in Slough on suspicion of financing terrorist acts overseas.
The arrest was in relation to conflicts abroad and was not made in response to any immediate threat to public safety in Slough, police said.
He was arrested under Section 17 of the Terrorism Act by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU).
Thames Valley Police said the investigation should have very little impact on residents.
Supt Simon Bowden said: "We will continue to work with our partners and community in the interests of public safety and I would ask that we all continue to discourage anyone from attempting to travel to Syria or other areas of conflict."
