The boyfriend of a woman who was hit by a car that mounted a pavement and died has said her "soul will live forever".

Irene Rodriguez Caballero, 36, died three days after the crash on 27 December in Caversham Road, Reading.

Her boyfriend Jonatan Bosque said they were walking home when the car hit them. He suffered multiple skull fractures and two broken legs.

Two Reading men aged 23 and 26 were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed until 30 March.

Mr Bosque said he was in shock at the loss of his "princess and queen".

Paying tribute to his girlfriend, he said: "Irene was just a little bit of everything - she was my friend, my girlfriend, my lover, my editor, my teacher, my daughter, my mother.

"Your body is no longer with me, but your soul will live forever with me... I love you my love. My princess. My queen."
