Staff threatened in second Ascot bookmakers' robbery

Police are hunting a man who threatened staff with a wooden baton during the second robbery in eight days at a bookmakers' in Berkshire.

It happened at Ladbrokes in Brockenhurst Road, Ascot, at about 20:45 GMT on Saturday.

The offender made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

A robbery took place at the same bookmakers' on 6 February. It is not yet known if they are linked, police said.

Officers are investigating both robberies.

The offender is described as 5ft 10in (1.8m) tall and aged about 19.

He was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit top, trainers, and had a scarf covering his face.
