Attempted murder charge after gunshots in Cookham

A man has been charged with attempted murder after gunshots were fired in a Berkshire village on Sunday.

Frederick Evans, 42, from Earls Lane, Slough, was also charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Thames Valley Police were called to Sutton Road, Cookham, at about 17:15 GMT. No-one was injured, they said.

Mr Evans has been remanded in custody to appear at Slough Magistrates Court later.
