Man seriously injured in high-speed police chase

A man is in hospital with "serious injuries" following a high-speed police chase.

The man, who was driving a Ford Fiesta, was involved a crash with a Ford Focus on the Maidenhead Road, in Warfield.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and he is currently being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

A passenger in the Ford Fiesta suffered minor injuries as did the driver of the Ford Focus.

Thames Valley Police has referred itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission over the collision, which is standard protocol.
