A man has been stabbed and hit with a metal pole in Windsor.

Thames Valley Police said the attack happened at about 07:00 BST on Sunday in Paddock Close.

A 39-year-old man was left with a stab wound to his abdomen, as well as head and arm injuries, after an altercation with a group of people.

Two women, aged 44 and 18, both from Windsor, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Police said the man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
