IPCC to investigate after man spends 20 hours on roof

An incident in which a man spent almost 20 hours on a roof is being investigated by the police watchdog.

Police were called to Church Road, Earley, shortly before 23:00 BST on Tuesday. The man was injured and taken to hospital at 18:30 BST on Wednesday.

He was in a critical but stable condition.

Emergency services remained at the scene for several hours. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating.
