Murder arrests after man shot dead in Slough

A man has been shot dead in Slough and two people arrested on suspicion of murder.

Armed officer were called to an address near the Colnbrook bypass at around 03:30 BST on Monday. A man in his 40s was found dead.

A man in his 70s and a woman in her 50s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.

Thames Valley Police said it was believed to be an "isolated incident".

Det Ch Supt Chris Ward said: "I would like to reassure local residents that police officers will be in the area for some time as we carry out our investigation into what we are treating, at this stage, as an isolated incident.

"I must stress that this incident is not being treated as related to terrorism and there is no threat to the wider public."
