Man remanded over murder of Birmingham baby

A man accused of murdering a four-month-old baby girl from Birmingham has been remanded in custody.

Aaliyah Jordan-Fellows had a fractured skull and died on 31 December 2008.

Jason Roberts, 24, is charged with her murder and appeared before city magistrates on Tuesday.

He is next due before Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday. Aaliyah's mother, Bobbiellen Jordan, 20, and partner James Nicholls, 21, have been charged with neglect and ill treatment.

They have been remanded on bail and are due to appear before Birmingham magistrates on Tuesday.

All three defendants are formerly from the West Heath area of Birmingham.
