Two men quizzed over Birmingham pub shooting

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot outside Birmingham pub.

The men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested on the Ladywood Middleway in the city on Wednesday after armed police stopped the car they were in, police said.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with an ankle injury in the early hours of Saturday.

Three men arrested at the scene, by The Dubliner pub, on Saturday were released without charge, police said.

A silver-coloured Peugeot 207 has since been recovered from an address in Highgate in connection with the incident.

Detectives want anyone who saw the car in the Digbeth area before or after the incident to contact them.
