Boys detained for Erdington stabbing murder
Two 17-year-old boys have been detained after being convicted of murder.
Jordan Subhan and Declan Moore received 14 and 12 years respectively after the stabbing of Adam Cusack, 21, in Erdington, Birmingham, in July 2010.
Subhan, of Eyestone Avenue, Tipton, and Moore, of Firtree Road, Erdington, were convicted last month.
Ross Hinton, 18, of Wincanton Croft, Bromford, was cleared of murder but convicted of violent disorder and sentenced to three years' detention.
He was sentenced to detention at a young offenders institute.
All three were convicted on 4 February at Birmingham Crown Court.
Mr Cusack died from a single stab wound to his heart on Kingsbury Road in Erdington in the early hours of 17 July and died at the scene, police said.
Subhan received 14 years for murder, six years for a charge of section 18 wounding and three years for violent disorder, to run concurrently.
Moore was given 12 years for murder and three years for violent disorder, to run concurrently.
